At I Gabbri, there is a square and a quarry front, now renaturalised among the scrub, which bears witness to the presence of excavation activities of serpentine rock, once used to make ballasts and as a road surface. Together with the nearby slopes of Poggio Donato, to which a specific itinerary and signs are dedicated, it is one of the most exemplary places to admire the exceptional flora of the serpentine guarrigues, natural rock gardens with mountain flowers, interesting species exclusive to these rocks and a rocky scrub with prickly juniper, a paradise for botanists, a wonder for all in springtime.
