The amazing views you will admire will introduce you to the beauty and diversity of the landscape of the Alta Val di Cecina and the Geothermal Phenomena Area. Starting from the municipal tourist office, you will walk through woods, meadows and even urban areas and everywhere you will go you will be treated to amazing views. Along the way you will meet the municipal horse-riding centre of Santa Barbara that offers many activities, including riding in the company of the famous Monterufoli horses. The historic centre of Pomarance is just a stone’s throw away with its 12th-century parish church, the Piazza della Pretura and the beautiful 19th-century buildings in Via Roncalli, including the Palazzo Bicocchi house museum, a 19th-century bourgeois residence, Palazzo Ricci with its permanent exhibition Guerrieri ed Artigiani (dalla Preistoria al Rinascimento” (Warriors and Craftsmen, from Prehistory to the Renaissance) as well as the two sophisticated theatres, De Larderel and Dei Coraggiosi. T - Tourist

EEA - Expert hikers with mountaineering equipment

TC - Tourist

Route on dirt roads with a compact and smooth surface, suitable for vehicles.

BC - For cyclists with good technical skills

Route on very bumpy dirt roads or on mule tracks and paths with a rather bumpy but fairly smooth surface or compact but irregular, with some natural obstacles (eg rock steps or roots).

OC - For cyclists with excellent technical skills

As above but on very bumpy and / or very irregular paths, with significant presence of obstacles.

EC - Maximum level for the cycle excursionist

Path on very irregular paths, characterized by steps and obstacles in continuous succession, which require trial-type techniques.
