The Casinieri farm, now reduced to ruins, is another testimony to the past agricultural use of these areas. A symbol of the partisan resistance, the farm stands on a plateau with superb views over the Val di Cecina and the Val di Pavone. Part of its former cultivated land is kept as open areas, very important in a predominantly wooded region.
