In a panoramic position, the Caprareccia farm is surrounded by interesting sandstone outcrops and above all by ancient olive groves protected by typical circular stone walls. The area was probably the site of an ancient bishop’s castle and was located on a transhumance route. There is also the fascinating story of a Grand Ducal distillery on the Caprareccia farm where, in the mid-19th century, gin was produced from juniper berries as well as strawberry tree liqueur, known for their quality throughout Europe.
