It is not certain which treasures the place name refers to; however, the area has been known for mining activities certainly since the Middle Ages, especially the silver deposits in the Botro del Confine. The exposure of the slopes and the fertility of the soil have favoured the presence of high woods dominated by Turkey oaks, which were used in the last century to obtain timber; the wide clearing, now overgrown with bushes, where the Scrigni cart track ends, was in fact a wood “post”, i.e. the square where the wood was piled up before being transported.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
