Old fruit trees bear witness to their agricultural past, while the forest, all around the clearing, offers us true rarities among trees like the yew (Taxus baccata), an atypical conifer that loves shade and coolness, adorned with red berries instead of pine cones.<\/p>\n<p>The leaves and seeds are poisonous, which is why the plant is also known as the Tree of Death.
